ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

When I first contacted the hotel stating that I was having lunch nearby and that I would be slightly late with check-in I was told that my room #25 was still not ready. I indicated that was fine and that I would be there after the check in time after I finish my lunch. When I got to the hotel I checked in through the window and I overheard someone say “ just give her room #32.” I found this surprising since I was told I was getting #25 but I did not raise any concerns. However, once I approached room #32 I was concerned it was far in the back end and from what I noticed the hotel was not packed with guests. I entered the room and a smell hit me and I looked around the room and noticed that it looked like it had been cleaned in months. I contacted the front desk and told them what I saw and that I would like a new room. I was given room #5. That room was a little better. However, there was still a smell. I wiped everything down and even swept the floors. It might be my OCD however, I did not feel the room was thoroughly cleaned well.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Air out the rooms. The sheets smelled like chemicals and the bathroom needed to be wiped down again.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

We stay here often and usually have a very nice stay. However, this past weekend was an exception. Not only did our room key not work twice but the room we were moved to had finger prints all over the inside and outside of the refrigerator, no tissues and it appeared someone has used the toilet and didn’t flush. Not what we expected and not what we are used to. It was a bit disappointing.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

I might suggest that rooms are checked by staff after the cleaners are finished. With Covid it’s critical the rooms are sanitized and this was not the case. One other thing I forgot to mention earlier is there was no shower curtain liner either, just the curtain.

What a quaint place! Very well maintained property with great customer service. Extremely clean. I loved the king bed studio I stayed in. Just wish I had chosen the top floor so I wouldn’t have to listen to people’s feet above me! Amazing place to stay overall

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

I went away to work (I’m a writer) and called ahead to be sure the WiFi would be adequate for my laptop. I was told it was very good and would accommodate 4 devices. I only had my laptop on WiFi and it was horrible. Kept buffering. I attended a virtual workshop from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday and was actually kicked off Zoom 8 times during the session because of poor connection. I was in Unit 31. VERY disappointed about this.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Make sure that when a customer specifically requests adequate WiFi you don’t place her in a basement room (or any room) that has poor connectivity.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

We had a very pleasant experience staying at Sandwich Inn and Suites. Our check in envelope was available when we arrived. The room was clean and bright. Breakfast was pick up only, but you were given a large variety of items and can get as much as you wanted. Our only issue was not receiving our room number. I didn’t think it was an emergency so I just left my name and number and received a call back in about 30 minutes. Maybe the recording could say if you need to speak to someone instead of emergency!
