We live in Vermont and decided we had to get away - somewhere - for the first time since Christmas 2019. Cape Cod is about a 4 1/2 drive for us and we thought it would be good first attempt at travelling normalcy. Found this place online, looked cute and the price was very right. We booked for 3 nights mid-week.

If memory serves there are 33 rooms spread throughout seven small buildings. The grounds are very pretty and very well-kept. We took a room with a king bed in a building that had 3 units total. Very comfy bed, excellent TV with plenty of channels, small fridge, microwave (which a lot of properties don’t have any more for some reason), good-sized room. Modern heat/AC unit, a fan mounted on the wall aimed at the bed (what a good idea!). Parking right at or very near your door. Pretty good breakfast (I think it’s even better without the COVID situation). All cold stuff, cereals, etc. except for the breakfast sandwiches which you can heat up in their or your own microwave. Friendly desk folks.

A couple of small minuses: no room refresh for the 3 days we were there (I think this is only until COVID is gone), not even emptying garbage pails, which I guess you can do yourself. Most units have chairs outside to sit on the porch - ours did not. Pool was not open and didn’t look like it would be any time soon, which may matter to some folks.

All in all we would definitely stay there again.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

For handicap you could use additional hand railing to make it more safe for people who have some walking disabilities. Handles on door entrance to get into office especially difficult for some one to get into the office. Had hard time I use a walker and cane.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Easier for handicap to get in the office to check in. Could not use breakfast not able to do the walk and stairs without another railing to hold onto. Step up to office nothing to hold on not to-step inside the doorway to office.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

We arrived bet. 2-3 by 5pm lights and tv flickering , called office ,45 mins later called again ,could not watch tv as after pf took 5 min to reboot by then power out again. Male came to fix, we had dinner reservations so left, called at 8:30 to see if we would need to change room , didnt know , still working on it. Unsettling eve, were fixed when arrived back after 9 . Next day no trash removal, no clean towels ,understand about beds but trash, wear gloves and mask. Pf unavoidable but apology would have been nice.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

We would have appreciated being trashed out , dirty towels on floor removed and an explanation of pf , panel prblem whatever. Little choice at bkft but understand covid a problem ,however room was not suppled with 2 cups,f . Or 2 plastic glasses ,only one ,leads me to believe was not restocked between clients. Scatter rug on floor was not a non skid , we didnt use but could lead to falls.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

This is a beautiful property no doubt about it. My scores reflect a couple of things.

1. There was only decaf coffee available in the room and no diet sweetener at the coffee station. Being a coffee-loving diabetic it was disappointing.

2. I stayed in a basement room with a kitchenette which was barely stocked. There were only a couple of drinking glasses, no wine glasses. The eating utensils were minimal and some were just washed plastic. The dish soap was small and partially filled. I did not mind the size but would have appreciated a new unused one. I had to seek out paper towels.

There is nothing to strain and dry dishes or dishcloths

3.The cost I was quoted on your website was not what I was charged. It was about $40 more. I did ask about it and was told well every night is a different price that’s why….blah blah. I understand that each night has a different cost however, both night quotes were about $20 less than what I was Charged, I gave up.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. I did want to express my issues so that you would be aware of them .

Regards,

Kathleen Morel
