When we arrived at the Inn we immediately noticed the room was dingy. There were crumbs on the countertop in the kitchenette and the dishes were dirty. Hair and dirt buildup was in the corner of the bathroom and the floor was sticky and left a terrible residue on our feet. When I called the front desk to complain about the cleanliness of the room I was told “it’s not our fault that the last guests put the dishes away dirty.” No apology, no effort to make it right, nothing.

Amidst covid, I expect much more when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation. If I wasn’t so exhausted when I arrived I would have most certainly asked for my money back and found a hotel that truly does care about cleanliness.

The room was dirty. When you closed the bathroom door their was dust and hair buildup in the corner. The floor was extremely sticky and left a nasty residue on feet/ socks. The kitchen counter had crumbs left behind. When we went to use the dishes, they were dirty. That was the last draw. When we called the front desk to inform them that the room didn’t seem like it was cleaned very well the front desk attendant said, “well it’s not our fault if the last guests put the dishes away dirty”. Well actually, it is your responsibility to check the cleanliness of your rooms. I took it upon myself to take photo and am happy to send.

Amidst covid, I expect much more attention to detail and a larger effort be made to clean and sanitize the rooms. We were so tired when we had arrived that we didn’t have the energy to contest on the first day. Otherwise I would have asked for a refund and found a more suitable hotel.

I’m really disappointed.

We very much enjoyed our stay, and the room was just what we were looking for—spacious, comfortable, and perfectly clean. The only downside was the lack of sound proofing—my son could clearly hear the people in the next room arguing. I was luckier, but if I had had neighbors I think it would have been hard. The second thing, which is no fault at all of the motel, is that its location on Rte 6A meant that we could not safely walk anywhere directly from the motel but had to use the car.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

I would strongly recommend installing sound proofing if possible.

After scoring just “9” on overall food&beverage, we sure miss the “normal” breakfast from last year, we do understand these are the COVID19 days! We do appreciate the overall excellent accommodations,the excellent sleep, at this Inn!

We love that there is a clean/updated place to stay in Sandwich! The staff is always really nice. I do get with covid there are restrictions but it does seem like it looses some personal touch when you never see anyone during your stay but I get it. I would say that its beautifully redone but with white but it could of used a Mr Clean sponge in a few spots! I saw some marks from prior guest on the ceiling and the bathroom walls. Wasnt bad but it would be sad to see it get damaged after being redone in such a clean look!

POSITIVE:

They were conscientious about COVID (appreciated that). Breakfast was very small and limited brown bag (because of precautions) but helpful until I found another place to eat. Great value, very clean!

NEGATIVE:

Better breakfast but this was not the facility’ s fault. They tried to be accommodating.

NEGATIVE:

Roads were very narrow, windy, and a bit steep. Parking spots were narrow/congested. Due to 2 cars parked poorly, there was no parking spot for me when I arrived at 9:05 PM. No person at desk when I called about this problem. Fortunately, another guest said she was leaving for work at 3 AM and gave me her parking spot and she then parked in back of me.
