The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the space very much. We loved having the ability to open windows to allow the wonderful fall air into the room. We did notice a musty odor upon arrival. We believe it was attributed to the air conditioner. The blower vents were showing dust and mildew? When I checked the internal vents they appeared to be clogged and perhaps not washed this season. We are lucky enough not to have allergies, but if a family member had accompanied us, we would not have been able to stay in Unit #28 due to their sensitivity to the aroma from the AC unit. Other than that we absolutely enjoyed our stay and the quaintness of the property. We would definitely stay there again.

POSITIVE:

I loved the balcony off the room we stayed in, and how spacious the room itself was. The little coffee bar was lovely and the set up felt like a personal apartment.

NEGATIVE:

the bed was so hard and made a ton of “springy” noise when you moved. They really need to check the beds, if they had been more comfortable I would have said this place was pretty perfect!

The internet was non-functional. I called twice, emailed once with no resolution. The email did not even get a reply. The first person I spoke with was apologetic, asked if the other electricity-related items were working and said she would try and unplug the router. The second person I spoke with on the phone gave me some line about the water around the Cape impacting service. So no one on the Cape can work remotely?? Felt like BS. I had to cut my trip short and return home so that I could do the work I needed to do. No remedies and no refunds for a pretty important amenity. I might have been less disappointed had someone seemed like they cared. Whenever I called, the staff person seemed overworked/rushed- no time to listen. The woman who gave me the line about the water around the cape impacting the internet service seemed kinda cranky. The room itself was nice and clean. Breakfast options were good. I also wondered about the booking process as over three nights I had two different parties on each side of me that were together which created a lot of crisscrossing past my door. Additionally, the second group set up camp on the small deck as though they were at home- including tables with grill, coolers, and toddler ride-on toys. They used my chair and the others to set up a conversation area right outside my window which meant I had to close my curtains for any privacy which virtually eliminated the natural light. Not sure why they were not placed next to each other. There was also a good gap around the door and air conditioner through which light could be seen. I had some minor bug issues including the fire alarm going off at 12:20 am my first night which I think was due to a bug getting in it. The remodel and landscaping seem to create a place that is reasonably priced and more than adequately pleasant. It is a shame that the service couldn’t compensate for the difficulties.

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was good can’t complain since were are living in social distancing times. Enjoyed quiet and relaxing evenings. Great location we were close to everything! Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Can’t wait to come back and visit.

Our toilet in room 20 was lopsided it was a bit weird going sideways but we managed.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

Our room was a king suite and did not have a closet. I had a wedding dress that needed to be hung up and couldn’t because my husband was in the room and there were just a few hooks on the wall?? Our room was also not very well cleaned and there was very little care put into the bed making/folding linens. Our sheets and comforter were inside out and missing a flat sheet. There was hair in the bathroom from previous guests or cleaning staff… all in all our stay was just OK. I probably wont come back.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Get closets or armoirs for your rooms, get a new cleaning staff that can properly tidy and clean the rooms.
