ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

The positive - your breakfast quinoa bowl was good.

The negatives - I have six years as a Airbnb host and my reviews are stellar. So, when I phoned the first morning to tell you that there was blood stain on the inside of the duvet cover and you tell me that’s not possible, that’s not a sign of unprofessionalism. When my husband sat on the toilet the first morning and saw short hairs all over the floor I looked as well. I alerted you to that and you said, “you must have a dog in there”. You verbally accused me of that and I told you that was ridiculous. We don’t have a dog and wouldn’t travel with one if we did. If I had a dog, why would I ask you to come and see the hair on the floor? We found the same hair in the dresser drawer. I also alerted you to the fact the coffee maker was dirty.

So, it is very disturbing to first know that the cleaning wasn’t thorough, especially in a pandemic. We stayed because you did rectify the situation. I wouldn’t recommend you because you were rude. Making untrue accusations makes you unprofessional.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Be kind to guests; making false accusations makes you unprofessional.

Develop a better checklist for cleanliness like the hotel chains do.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

It was a great stay/experience but the one thing that seemed a little frustrating was when we called the front desk and asked if someone could take out the trash for us. We were told due to COVID, that no one can enter our room until we leave so they can clean/take out the trash. We understood this but asked if it would be okay if we leave the trash outside our door for someone to take care of. We were told that should be okay and they would have someone pick it up. We left the trash outside and it was not taken until the following day. Not the biggest problem but it just seemed as though the request was not adhered to as quickly as we imagined it would be. Otherwise, great place to stay and we are hopeful to visit again in the future!

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

I am glad that you reached out. I did not want to negatively affect your status on Expedia without giving you notice of my concerns. With the current normal we are all living in I am definitely more aware of cleanliness issues and procedures. The room had food left in the refrigerator. When we called to have it removed there was a quick and apologetic response. We then found that there no blankets or top sheets in the drawer as indicated. Again the sheets were brought to us. I did not want to continue to complain but there was water left in the coffee pot and the tray was dirty. Also, none of the ledges or baseboards were clean. Finally, although the cleaning staff wore masks, they were not wearing gloves and neither was the person who came to bring sheets and remove the food.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

Please clean the toilet bowls and toilet base better in the future. The bowl was not very clean upon arrival and had a strong urine odor when I sat to use it. I used my Lysol spray cleanser and sprayed around the toilet base and floor around it and cleaned the inside of the bowl with a gloved hand myself. The rest of our room 14 was clean.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Please take more care cleaning the toilet area. The rest of the room was clean. With limited interaction due to covid-19, please put enough towels for the entire stay. Ex.: 5 night stay = stock 5 towels.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

Totally enjoyed our stay though only for one night. We made reservations at another establishment and left after only one night for reasons I care not to discuss. On our approach to you location the first thing we noticed is how well manicured the grounds were. Everything was so neat and in order and the ease of booking was exceptional. On our next visit to the cape we most definitely be booking our stay with you.

POSITIVE:

Location: if you want to explore Cape Cod and Rhode Island, Sandwich is central (most places under 1h, and few around 1h). Quite and clean. Easy access to the road. Surrounded by trees. Very comfy beds. Nice local beach. Good restaurant near by. Cure historical centre of the village. Great if you want privacy…

NEGATIVE:

During COVID, staff do not enter the rooms and breakfast is provided in bag (and limited). It is understandable but it is a challenge if you stay for longer as you need to change the sheets, clean, etc. on your own.

It was cute and cozy, perfect place for R&R. It was not as clean I expected, there was hair in the shower, the toilet was not clean, the room had poor ventilation and smelled “wet” each time we return despite leaving the windows open or the air on.

Could not change the setting on the TV, the picture size was much smaller than the TV size but we could not adjust it. can only turn channel up and down or volume up and down. you could not punch in a specif TV channel and go directly to it.

The breakfast option was okay, they did the best they could given the circumstances.
